Outback Spirit的点评
点评：We did the Lake Eyre Spectacular with Outback Spirit after previously doing the Kimberley with them. The latter trip was outstanding with a very high standard of accommodation but the recent trip maybe reflects the change of ownership, now owned by an American Company. The accommodation at Marree (in particular) on our recent Lake Eyre trip was appalling and possibly the worst place we have ever stayed at. It was shabby and dirty and disgusting. The fan in the bathroom didn't work, the shower was stained, there was mold and paint peeling, the air conditioner sounded like a truck and the TV didn't work. It was like sleeping in a dog box and we couldn't open the windows for much needed fresh air because there were mosquitoes, flies and no screens! We had to endure two non consecutive nights here and the dinner at the Roadhouse was the same both nights - dried out meat and cold baked veges. Wright Air and the staff at William Creek were great and we couldn't fault the flights or the trip to Birdsville. We were disappointed in our tour guide. His Covid practices were slack to say the least. His wife tested positive on day 2 & we all had to do a test despite it being too soon and despite him not checking the mandated test we had to do on day 1. He refused to wear a mask even though a close contact and he did not do further tests during the tour to test his status. Under SA rules he was a close contact & should have been taken off the tour. I know at least one person who had Covid post the tour and likely there were many more but people weren't prepared to test because we would have had to isolate in a dog box at Marree & then find our own way back to Adelaide at our own cost. Outback Spirit's policy was no refund and no support! I will never do another Outback Spirit Tour again
