点评：The present St Mary's Church dates, mainly, from the 15th century, although there are some bits of an earlier church which was probably dedicated to St Tysilio (the church being rededicated to St Mary in the late 15th/early 16th century). Inside there is a Heart Shrine (Heart Shrines flourished during the Crusades and, when an English knight was killed overseas, his body would be buried there but his heart would be removed and brought back to Britain for burial), some lovely stained-glass windws, some very ineresting roof carvings but, most norably, memorials to the Trevor family, the former chief local landowners, and the Myddelton family, the former owners of Chirk Castle. An interesting church, well worth a visit, if only to read the information about the Trevors and the Myddeltons.
