点评:This is a great place to visit even for those who have no great knowledge of plants or flowers. Of course, it costs money to run a place like this and, in that context, the overall cost of our visit was not excessive. - The only thing that prevents me from giving the place a higher rating is what you might call the "drip-pricing" charging model. This means that the price you see as a headline offer may well not be the price you end up paying. You could perhaps compare this to a budget airline which offers seats at a reasonable base cost but ends up charging you far more for "add-ons" that many passengers feel should be included in the up-front advertised price. In the case of these gardens, it turned out that the "from" price shown on the website was available only to those booking at least two days in advance. The other surprise, not in a good sense of the word, was the fact that parking is a chargeable extra even for those paying to visit the attraction. As already mentioned, the total cost of tickets and parking for two people was not excessive, but, for me, the way that total was arrived at left rather a bad taste. I'd suggest that management should change their charging model to show a ticket price that includes parking as the headline price on their website. If they then want to offer an early-booking discount, they can do so. In my view, this would be a far more transparent way of doing business.
There are also another couple of minor irritations that management might wish to address. Firstly, the guest wifi in the cafe demands an email address, but rejected an entirely legitimate one as invalid. It then accepted one invented for the purpose!
The other point is that the provided leaflet leaves a lot to be desired as a navigation guide around the grounds. The maps shown on the displayboards are far more useful for that purpose and perhaps that is the image that should be shown on the visitor leaflet.
