Sylvan Rocks Climbing School And Guide Service的点评
点评：Second time climbing with Sylvan Rocks - and just as awesome as the first time. Peter guided me and my friend Jeremy on the Durrance route on Devils Tower. Incredible experience! Peter knows his stuff for sure - and I felt 100% secure from the very start.
The 'grade' listed on the Durrance route is ........ a bit shy of what I would call it. The "Durrance" pitch is tough but super fun, especially for someone that does not do crack climbing. All in all, an incredible experience.
We decided to climb in Custer State Park on our last day in the area - and due to a couple areas being closed for maintenance behind Sylvan Lake - I got turned around and could not find the area I wanted to climb. We packed up, drove the short distance to Custer and talked to the guy behind the counter at the South Dakota Outdoor Shop in Custer - (Can't remember his name!!) - and got straightened out in a short few minutes. He was super knowledgeable - told me where to park, what to look for and which trail to take. We were back out climbing (Waste Knot is worth the hike) in no time.
My Wife and I climbed with Brandon (co-owner of Sylvan Rocks) and now Peter - If you are climbing in the Custer SD or Devils Tower WY areas - absolutely recommend contacting Sylvan Rocks. They are the best. And the South Dakota Outdoor shop in Custer has everything you will need.
