Sandakan Death March

点评：Tham was so genuinely passionate about passing on his much researched knowledge of the Sandakan Death March honouring not only the Australian and British POWs, but all of the unsung local heros he was privileged to meet and befriend. These men and women were present during the time of the death march and immediate post war recovery missions.
Our two local guides Peter and Jikon, were friendly, helpful and extremely patient when the going got tough.They were happy to answer all questions and impart their knowledge on all flora and fauna and share a joke. Well worth their tip plus more.
Accommodation was clean and comfortable and very inviting at the end of our day’s walk. All meals were varied, plentiful and we were often spoiled for choice. Always room for fresh fruit and local ice cream.
I don’t hesitate to recommend Tham and his wonderful team at TKY Adventures to anyone seeking an adventure in Sabah, with so many choices. Thank you all for my unforgettable experience in Sabah and instilling a desire to research and pass on this shared Sabah/Australian/British history.
