点评:Tourist to paris. Bought a tram ticket. We boarded the tram and had barely sat down before we were immediately accosted by a very aggressive ticket attendant. He first tried to tell us that we had the wrong ticket. I knew that we didnt. Then his colleague confirmed that we did have the right tickets, but apparently we should have inserted our tickets in the validation machine in the tram when we boarded a minute earlier. They said it was now too late and we must pay an on the spot fine of 35 euros each, otherwise he will call the police and the fine will go up to 180! We ended up paying it as we were frightened. I intend to complain directly to RATP about their staffs behaviour as I think it's criminal! We felt as though we had been mugged! Sharing so others don't make our mistake. If they do try and fine you on the spot...do not pay it. Give you details if needed. They will be desperate for you to pay there and then. You can appeal the fine when you receive it via the post and its very likely they will uphold your appeal.
