点评:This is a very popular and accessible lookout point - no bushwalking required.
The lookout is located just below the Echo Point Lookout. A ramp on the left leads down to the lower level.
The view from the two lookouts is not so very different but the lower Queen Elizabeth level is perhaps a little less crowded and you have a slightly different angle.
From here you get a very good view of the famous Three Sisters rock formation and a panoramic view across the Jamison Valley. Standing here on the edge of the escarpment, it’s a sheer drop and a dramatic vantage point.
A small, bronze plaque marks the visit of Queen Elizabeth on 12th February 1954. When she visited, she was only a young and a very new Queen. Her coronation had taken place just the year before. Cheering crowds of 75,000 lined the streets to watch her arrival.
This is an excellent point for starting any one of several bushwalking trails, including the Prince Henry Cliffside Walk, the Three Sisters Walk and the Giant Staircase.
NOTE: Street parking can be tight and it is timed parking. We parked several streets back up the hill, where we parked for free and without a time limit.
