Yamba Fudge的点评
点评：As a family we travel to Yamba yearly and always make it a tradition to visit this store. It was always so quaint with old style lollies at a reasonable price, but is now under new ownership. There was always something special about going into this store and seeing the excitement of children "wow" in awe, and to come out with a bunch of yummy treats.
We have just returned from our trip and I can say we will not be returning to this store. It has lost it's charm and is filled mainly with imported pre-packaged sweets at huge prices, some of which you can buy in supermarkets anyhow much cheaper. They stock fudge but I couldn't part with $4.30 for a small square. They also sell pre-packaged sweets the same as what you buy in the supermarkets but at inflated prices.
My children and I selected two small items each but I nearly fell over when we were told the price. Oh, and nothing is price marked either which probably explains why the price for one item was half the cost when I bought it the day before. The worker clearly didn't know the prices either.
She also kept calculating the total cost incorrectly. The till wasn't working so she was using a calculator. Fair enough. She just couldn't get the numbers right. It took four attempts with me querying each total. My son ended up adding it for her! It was ridiculous and dodgy.
Save yourself the pain and just bring some sweets with you, or make the short drive to Coles down the road.
