Knaresborough Boats - Blenkhorn's的点评
点评：Last Thursday my girlfriend and I went to Knaresborough and whilst there we thought we would go boating.
We did this through Knaresborough Boats (Blenkhorn’s Boat Hire), and we had an experience from hell.
Firstly at no point was a life jacket offered to us, we have a right for the provider to offer them to us yet he didn't.
Secondly, we were only given incredibly basic instructions move this oar this way and this oar that way to go backwards and forwards, we were not given instructions on river safety, what to do in the event someone went in overboard, even basic things like how to turn.
Thirdly, after we set off we quickly got stuck against a wall along the river bank and were so unsure of how to get back to the dock which was not far away that we were noticeably distressed.
Fourthly, we were stuck because as I said above we were not told how to turn, eventually we did turn around and managed to one oar row back to where we supposed to get out. However, the guy running it made us row down further and do the complicated process of docking it, we clearly didn't know what we were doing and were using one oar, he could at any point have stepped in to help but didn't.
Fifthly, my girlfriend became panicked and was hyperventilating on the boat as she was worried it would tip over, as all the man had said was don't move around as it might tip it over he had not explained further. Moreover, after we got off the boat and walked back towards the church I suffered a large scale panic attack due to the stress of the experience and how I too became worried about falling in or us falling in.
A horrible experience
