A relaxing end to our holiday

点评：I would highly recommend. We paid for a one-off 3-hour stay and were pleasantly surprised and impressed by this lounge, which offers an oasis before the chaos that is likely to follow - most gates were called about 1hr 15 minutes before departure (to allow 20 to 45 minutes for passport control, followed by 40 minutes standing in line at the gate, and a bus transfer to the plane). Tip: I found the lounge’s own website confusing – much easier and cheaper to book via Lounge Pass (£25 pp versus €45 pp if booked direct).
The lounge check in was quick and the lady on reception was very welcoming. The interior was modern, light and airy, with open views across the airfield and beyond. It included quiet areas and an outside shaded terrace (with separate smoking area). The lounge was quite busy, but we still had no problem finding seats. Very clean toilets without any queues. Great air-conditioning, free reliable wi-fi, and plenty of recharging points. There was a good selection of complimentary beverages (including hot drinks, beer, prosecco, wine and spirits). The hot and cold food was regularly refreshed and was very tasty (the breakfast bacon and scrambled eggs were actually of better quality than those served in our 5-star hotel). Used plates etc were quickly cleared away. We had a far more relaxing and enjoyable experience here, than on our recent visits to BA’s Business Class Lounges at Heathrow T5!
