点评:Just a short walk from the Farmer's market, it is (or was) worth a visit. The park has several interesting buildings from Dallas' and Texas' history which try to paint a picture of how live was in the mid 1800 to early 1900.
We got the shocking news that the place is closing down, and at this time hosues and buildings were emptier that tey used to be as most historical artifacts had been moved away.
The farmstead and blackmith shop were a highligth of the visit not only because they are buildings with an impressive history in their own right, but because my brother and I had the chance to chat a while with Gene, a colaborator of the park who gave us a lot of information about the house, the park, and just about anything we asked about. It was great to meet him.
Sad to see this capsule of Texan history is going away, its treasures scattered and sold. Mistreating a city's heritage like this can't bode well for its future.
