点评:The Natchez Trace is an historic traffic route in the early 19th century before the steam engine when Midwestern farmers would float their products to market in New Orleans, Natchez and markets further from sea going vessels. Today it is a limited scenic and history highway that connects Natchez to Nashville.
My wife and I had the chance to drive about 30 miles of it between Windsor Ruins and Natchez. It is both historic and scenic but not supposed to be fast. We were fortunate that we never had anyone in front of us, however, it is a two-lane road with a lower speed limit. Still, it was fun to drive and there are so many places to pull over and see great sites. I don't know if I would drive the entire route. However, for 30 minutes if was a great attraction to take in. The scenery is wonderful with a mix of woods and fields and includes several pullovers for historic sights and traveling amenities.
