Acoma Pueblo Sky City的点评
点评：I want to express my strong disappointment regarding a recent tour of Acoma Sky City that I took with my group of visitors from England. Having taken this tour many times before, I was deeply embarrassed by the experience provided by our guide.
Rather than sharing the history of the Pueblo, the guide spent most of the tour discussing his personal and family beliefs. We were kept inside the church for an hour, where he continuously paced back and forth, making it difficult for our large group to hear or understand him whenever his back was turned.
Major historical and cultural elements were completely omitted or inadequately addressed, including the Pueblo Revolt, the Enchanted Mesa, the cemetery walls, and the significance of the kivas. The guide failed to provide any logical historical context for Acoma. Despite these omissions, he was very explicit in explaining how to tip him, which felt inappropriate given the cost of the tour and the quality of the service.
I strongly encourage Acoma to invest in proper training and establish clear talking points for its guides to ensure visitors receive the informative and respectful experience this historic site deserves.
