Sun Cycling Rent a Bike的点评
点评：We have used Sun Cycling for a few years, recommending them to several friends and clubs. He was always happy to help.
This year something has changed….
Not helpful at all when picking bikes up. The fitting of a wahoo mount and a powermeter seemed too much to ask.
4 days into a 12 day rental I had a fall when at a set of traffic lights, I stopped, put my foot down and my shoe slipped on the pavement. I broke my ankle but no other injuries.
My wife returned the bike as I was unable to use it anymore.
Our friends then arrived a few days later & went to rent their bikes and they were met with a very angry owner - accusing me of coming off at high speeds in the mountains, wrecking the brand new bike, bucking the wheels & making it unrideable. He continued to be angry at our friends, telling them how to ride a bike and generally accusing them of being bad people before they had even started the rental.
Ok. I fell off. Not at speed. Not in the mountains. No road rash. No ripped clothing. No other injuries. Just a rolled ankle. I rode the bike (god knows how) 40k back to the hotel after the fall so not exactly “unrideable”! No scratches.
No buckled wheels. Nothing.
My wife did nothing wrong.
My friends did nothing wrong.
They returned their bikes in perfect working order after a rental that was nearly €800 and were soon accused of stealing the thru-axle tool which they never were supplied with - thank god they never punctured - they’d be stranded! They videoed receiving the bikes and the condition of the bikes before the rental to prove this and the owner was still sure they were untrustworthy!
Unhappy he has now become an angry man instead of the happy person we would always want to rent bikes from😔
