A Route 66 Stop That’s Even Better Inside

点评：The Round Barn was one of my favorite stops while traveling Route 66 through Arcadia, Oklahoma. The historic red exterior makes it an iconic roadside photo stop, but definitely don’t leave without exploring inside.
The lower level has a wonderfully rural, museum-like atmosphere, with displays and memorabilia that help tell the story of the barn and its place in local history. It feels authentic and perfectly suited to a historic Route 66 attraction.
Upstairs was the highlight for me. The entire upper level opens into a large entertainment space beneath an absolutely stunning wooden dome. The intricate construction of the roof, with its beams radiating overhead, is remarkable. Be sure to look up and take some time to appreciate the craftsmanship—it’s also fantastic to photograph!
The combination of history, architecture, and classic roadside-Americana character makes The Round Barn much more than a quick photo opportunity.
If you’re traveling Route 66 through Oklahoma, this is a stop I would absolutely recommend.
