Great ethical and insightful trip into Elephants in their natural habitat

点评：If youre thinking of booking - DO IT!
As animal lovers we did a lot of research before booking any elephant camp / sanctuary and Thom's was the most ethical we found. A small family run camp / sanctuary with 2 elephants (Tatdoh & Ott) They offer no guarantees on time (which felt strange to me as someone always time conscious) but it was explained that this is because the elephants come down from the jungle when they want to...bath when they want to and so on 😂 so im good with that. We took tour 3A which was a full day tour (0830-1830) with accommodation. We walked up the hill and watched the elephants play and enjoy themselves, came back down and walked to the river river for them to bathe then went back for some lunch, a hot spring and to rest. After lunch we both went with some workers to help cut down some banana trees and get bananas for the elephants while they relaxed (when it had cooled off we went back down to the river so the elephants could bathe again and finished by walking up the hill (towards the jungle where they sleep) to watch the sunset with them. The elephants decided that theyve had enough just before the sun set so went off to bed and left us to it 😂
The elephants were both in really good condition, no signs of harm, no chains, no sticks just happily going about their day. We saw them sat in their pens between our trips and observed them opening & closing their individual pens themselves - They were basically free to do as they wish.
Between our trips out the elephants stayed in the pens at the front of the camp where lots of passers by would stop and feedback them banana & banana trees plants -They were VERY happy!
Staff were all really friendly and helpful and accommodation was perfect for us too.

两头大象的状态都非常好，身上没有任何伤痕，没有铁链，也没有棍棒，它们快乐地度过每一天。我们看到它们在围栏里休息，还观察到它们自己开关围栏——它们基本上可以自由自在地做任何事。
在我们外出游览的间隙，大象们会待在营地前面的围栏里，很多路人会停下来给它们香蕉和香蕉树苗——它们非常开心！
工作人员都非常友好热情，住宿条件也非常适合我们。
