Perfect beach bar on a perfect beach
Mong Bar的点评
点评：3 nights in beautiful Koh Mook. A nice quiet island reminiscent of the Thailand of my backpacking youth back in the late 80's.
The Island has 2 main areas; Koh Mook town where the jetty is, & Charlie Beach. My wife discovered from our locals that Charlie Beach has the best sunset so we jumped into a Tuk Tuk, with the driver from our accommodation & her baby, to take the 20 minute ride through the jungle to Charlie. All Tuk Tuks are 50 Baht/person regardless of where you're going.
Charlie Beach is stunning, a sheltered bay surrounded by Limestone cliffs, with white sand & clear blue water. & surprisingly few people.
Tucked at the end is Mong Bar. Before I walked in I already knew I was going to love it! The perfect shack beach bar with shells & lanterns hanging over the front, lots of brightly coloured wooden signs from guests celebrating their respective countries, & amazing artwork inside. Largely music related, celebrating artists that I love. That brings me on to the soundtrack, exactly what it should be: chilled Reggae vibes. This is a text book perfect & Instagram ready beach bar.
The staff are all friendly & the beer very reasonable at 120 Baht for a big Singha. Food was OK but we just had snacks. They even arranged Tuk Tuks to pick us up & take us back to our accommodation when we're done.
The absolute highlight is the sunset! 3 nights visiting Mongs, 3 perfect sunsets. So spectacular & memorable. For me at least, it doesn't get much better than chilling in a cool beach bar, sipping cold beer, listing to cool sounds, & watching the sun set.
Everything quietens down once the afterglow from the sunset has faded, so we head back to town. But the memory of Mongs will stay with us for years to come. Wonderful place 😍🍻😎

所有员工都非常友好，啤酒价格也很实惠，一大杯胜狮啤酒只要120泰铢。食物还不错，不过我们只点了些小吃。他们甚至还安排了嘟嘟车来接我们回住处。
最令人难忘的莫过于日落！在蒙斯住了三晚，看到了三次完美的日落。如此壮观，如此令人难忘。至少对我来说，没有什么比在凉爽的海滩酒吧里，啜饮着冰镇啤酒，聆听着动听的音乐，欣赏着落日更惬意的了。
日落的余晖消散后，一切都归于平静，于是我们返回了镇上。但蒙斯的记忆将永远留在我们心中。好棒的地方😍🍻😎
