点评:Cannot be missed, the Aomori Tourist Information Center is the building with an equilateral triangle in the shape of the "A". That’s Aomori symbolically!
It is located on the seaside with the Bay Bridge running parallel. We were staying at Daiwa Roynet which is almost perpendicular to it, 250m walk away
and looks beautiful when it is lit up at night.
Brochure says that the 76m-tall A-shaped tower houses an observation deck (ticketed) which offers spectacular views of the Mutsu Bay, of the city and the Hakkoda Mountains on clear days from the 13th floor.
At 1F where we enters there is a tourist information desk, gift shops, some restaurants and a local-like food court/hall. There are lots of locally grown food available, definitely including apples and apple-themed products. Anything from apple jam, baked apple, apple pastries, apple ice-cream to cookies.
The second floor is more an experience zone, there is a theatre where there’s the Nebuta Festival on a 360-degree panoramic 3D digital video with full immersion.
We did not go to the Observatory as we have already tried out both Sendai & Morioka ones. But we did have some buys at the shops at 1F.
