点评：Loch Ness has held a spot in out psyche since childhood, mostly thanks to those endless tales of monsters and legends. Getting out on the water was a priority, but I wanted something more personal than a standard tour.
Being low down on the water in a RIB on Loch Ness at “Nessie Level” is a genuine thrill. This isn't a "bus ride on the water" experience; it’s fast, exhilarating, and the boat is really put through its paces, leaving a massive frothy wake behind. Despite the speed, you feel connected to the loch and its history. And there are stops to take in the scale and geography of the Loch.
The team is very skilled and safety-conscious, but more importantly, their enthusiasm is infectious. They make you feel like part of the crew rather than just another paying passenger.
A question I wondered and Im sure you do is how wet you’ll get. Even sitting up front during the tight, high-speed turns, I stayed completely dry—which is more than I can say for some sedate ferry trips I've taken elsewhere.
A few practical tips:
Recording: If you want to film, use a GoPro. You need to hang on tight at these speeds, and any phone footage will likely end up juddery. And you don't want to lose it.
Booking: Their website makes it easy to book ahead. I made the mistake of waiting until the final day of my holiday and immediately regretted not going earlier so I could join them again for another experience.
The Beastie Boats team made this the most welcoming and memorable experience of our entire trip. And something I for one, have taken away as my highlight of our time at Loch Ness!
