点评:The hike to the tip of Cape Kamui can be a little challenging, especially after rain, when large puddles can turn parts of the narrow path into a minor obstacle course.
But the effort is absolutely worth it.
On a fine day, the colour of the ocean is almost unreal — an intense blue-green that feels more like a tropical island than northern Japan.
This was undoubtedly one of the most beautiful landscapes we encountered on our Hokkaido trip.
There is, however, one drawback: the crowds.
Given its beauty and fame, tourists flock here in droves. And if your visit happens to coincide with the arrival of a tour bus, the experience can become considerably less serene.
My advice: come early in the morning, before the tour buses arrive.
You’ll have a much better chance of enjoying Cape Kamui at its most spectacular — and in relative peace.
