Wonderful and ethical experience with the elephants

点评：What a lovely day with the elephant sanctuary. This experience includes round trip transportation, lunch, education and introduction to each of the 7 elephants on the property. You have the opportunity to feed them, give them some pets and just observe these magical creatures in their beautiful retirement home. I appreciated that the staff told us about each and every one of the elephants backstories, a little of their personalities, and was there to help us have positive interactions with the elephants. They were all rescued from abusive keepers and shows, so the elephants are used to people but many of them have health issues the sanctuary educated us on and takes care of. It felt very ethical and very respectful of the elephant and their space and natural behaviors. No riding, painting, bathing or any other behavior which disturbed the elephants, just walking around and feeding and lightly petting them. Highlight of my trip to Koh Samui.
