点评:This is a great beach for walking. At the south end of the beach there is a small bridge which leads to some steps which climb up to a small shrine and a nice viewpoint. From this point there are also some enjoyable quiet walking trails through the forest, with occasional viewpoints over the coastline. If you want a little bit of a workout, you could continue up to the viewpoint area by the Kochi lighthouse.
You could also combine a visit here with a visit to the nearby Sakamoto Ryoma Museum.
There are some options for food by the beach.
I got here by means of the Mi-Yu bus; that worked well. You can take the normal local buses with the Mi-Yu pass to get back to the downtown, in addition to the less frequent Mi-Yu buses. This is especially helpful if you want to return later in the day, after the Mi-Yu buses stop for the day. However, it's not entirely clear on the pass which local bus to take; finding the bus stop to continue on afterward was a bit of a chore. Fortunately there were some local people who spoke English at the bus stop; they helpfully confirmed that I was at the right bus stop.
