A trip to remember, for the right reasons.
Monkey Mangrove Tour的点评
点评：We live not too far from here and decided to pay this place a visit and certainly wasn't disappointed at all. The staff ashore were incredibly friendly and helpful and our guide Stephen was amazing. We spent a couple of hours on the boat cruising through the Mangrove with Stephen pointing a whole host of different birds, lizards, fish, bats and towards the end of the cruise we had the luck to encounter not one, but two troops of White faced Capuchin monkeys.
Now ive read some of the reviews saying these trips are unethical, but at no point did I see anything that I would class as that. We stopped under an over hanging tree where the monkeys were playing a dipping themselves in the water. Yes, the did jump on the canopy of the boat, but at no point was anyone encouraged to touch or feed them. There were several segments of lime that were left on the canopy of another boat, which the monkeys took, but they were not eating them, they use them as mosquito repellent and they proceeded to rub the lime on themselves and each other. There are several companies in this area offering this trip and I cant comment on those, but from what I saw today the animals and the whole eco system what treated with the upmost respect by this company.
All in all I find it almost impossible to find fault with anything on this tour and I highly recommend it to anyone in the Quepos area.
