Arigna Mining Experience的点评
点评：Had a most pleasant visit to the Arigna mines, the whole experience was unforgettable from start to finish. The views from the car park were amazing although the day was slightly overcast.
The person on reception was very helpful and put my mind at ease as regards the tour of the mine (felt a bit apprehensive about going on the tour).
The audio visual experience was wonderful, loads of information on mining and the various equipment that was used to extract coal in these mines.
We were taken in and given hairnets and hard hats before being brought on the tour with our wonderful tour guide Gerard, who had spent many years working in the mines himself. He was informative and made the entire tour a very interesting and enjoyable experience. He answered questions in a timely manner and regaled us with stories of his own time in the mines, a good storyteller by all accounts.
On finishing our tour we disposed of hairnets and returned hard hats to their area.
We had some delicious and well priced food in the very clean on-site café. The staff were very friendly and there is a well stocked gift shop in the same area. The toilet facilities were exceptionally clean, the cleanest I've experienced in any centre used by the public.
There may not have been a huge crowd on the tour I was part of but it is well with a visit if you're looking for great views, informative guides and just a feel good experience.
