点评:This was the highlight of my recent trip to New Zealand. A good friend had asked me to take plenty of photos, as she has wanted to visit, but circumstances prevented her from doing so.
The tour coach picked us up outside of our hotel, with the driver giving a commentary along the way.We learnt a little bit about the volcano activity in the Rotorua area.
Once we arrived at our destination, we all jumped off the coach and browsed around the gift shop. With some of the gift shop prices for souvenirs, they must make a pretty penny from the thousands of tourists each and every day.
We were then given our entry ticket for the tour and jumped onto a Hobbiton tour coach. Our original driver looked after our gift shop purchases while we were on our tour, meaning that we did not have to carry them around with us.
Although it is possible, visitors with a disability would probable encounter difficulties on the walking tour, as none of the tour is on level ground.
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, and mostly gave us all plenty of time to take photographs. After we had completed our tour, we were treated to a beer,or another drink in 'The Green Dragon'
Our tour was completed by a buffet meal in the marquee. I am uncertain if we actually had enough time to enjoy our meal, but that is my opinion. The range of buffet food was extensive, but they completely won me over with the roast beef, with all the trimmings. Due to dietary concerns, I had little choice with desserts, but that is just my view. No doubt others would think differently.
