点评:For late September, I was surprised that it was a little crowded and the parking lot was quite full. A short walk (about 5 to 10 minutes) over a dirt/gravel road to the lighthouse, with glimpses of the ocean through the trees. It's just a short white lighthouse up on a hill with a long staircase to reach it. It wasn't open for tours when I was there, but there was a nice view from the base of the lighthouse. Has a small but interesting museum with different lenses and lights, interpretive posters about how the Coast Guard operates today's lighthouses, and a list (and historical photos) of the lighthouse keepers who served here. And a gift shop: I picked up several quality items for Christmas gifts (and some for myself!) Saw a pileated woodpecker on a tree on the way back to the parking lot!
