点评:We visited on a warm-ish day in April. Because of walking limitations we took the tourist train up to the top where the Palace is located and had a walk around up there before returning on the little train. We enjoyed the train ride, which has an English commentary available through headphones provided with the ticket. Better quality sound would be obtained with personal headphones.
The parkland area and the gardens around the palace are delightful and we could see many people enjoying the walk up to the top.
We did not visit the Palace (not open at the time we were there).
At the bottom of the hill is a small water park with seals and penguins. Also an excellent display of old sailing ships used by early explorers.
Refreshments are available in the vicinity, including an attractive cafeteria close to the park entrance.
Parking is limited close by, but there is a large car park (free when we were there) along the back of the small bay (Playa del Carmello) only a short walk away.
