The pag cheese tasting involved a quick stop at one shop with a small piece of cheese offered to each participant. I returned later to speak with the clerk to obtain more information, more tastings, and to make a purchase. I learned that the strong bora wind blows sea salt over the vegetation which the sheep then eat resulting in a salty cheese.
Then the group was lead back to the office where each participant was offered a small sampling of marschino in a somewhat sterile environment.
Our group comprised of 12 participants. Overall, a somewhat stale experience. We ended up retracing our steps the next day with our guidebook in a more leisurely fashion and had a more enjoyable experience.
