点评:A vast and freely-accessible park that we visited recently to catch a glimpse of the blooming irises. The garden has 16 patches of iris fields, but most were not yet in bloom (peak season is probably early June). Overall, it still a pretty sight, with irises of different colours, and it was a very calm and relaxing walk around the park, with barely any crowd. You can catch some early blooming hydrangeas as well near the iris gardens.
We arrived by car, and parked at Parking Lot 1 (214 lots). On hindsight though, it might be actually easier to reach the iris fields when parking at Parking Lot 2 instead (24 lots), which seems nearer on maps, but note that it is labelled as Parking Lot 4 on Google Maps instead. Same parking fees apply regardless of parking lots. 300 yen for the first hour, and 100 yen for every 20 minutes thereafter (correct as of May 2026). There is a maximum fee of 1,200 yen for 12 hours, but you can be charged repeatedly for exceeding the 12 hours. Payment is made at the gantry itself; electronic money and credit cards are accepted, but also note that the options are only listed in Japanese. Do have a translator on hand at the gantry to avoid delays!
