Great rides and jet skis, safe with nice staff too.

点评：We looked online at the available water sports and also on YouTube at Dans World and Continental Coxons which both have a great video of a day at Banana Watersports.
We are a family of four with two teenagers of 15 & 17 and we wanted to do the Crazy UFO, Fly Fish and hire two JetSkis. The total cost for this was €205…which is what it is…but we had planned for it and so it wasn’t a shock. It’s usually about €15 per person per ride and €50 for 15mins on a JetSki.
I wasn’t impressed with the guy who took our money…I think he was channelling his inner Brad Pitt and was acting like his job was beneath him and he was soooo bored and too cool for tourists… Not a helpful person and I nearly walked away. If you don’t like your job, do something else.
However once we got past him, everyone else was really nice, the drivers of the boats were great and judged the speed really well…they would look back and check on us and ask for a thumbs up from us…a nice touch.
I was impressed with the safety features on the JetSkis. They have GPS speed limiters to slow you down close to the shore and if you go within 100m of another JetSki…once in the sea you can let rip and they went fast enough to have loads of fun. Really good and worth the €100.
Crazy UFO was great fun, not too crazy and no one fell off…again sensibly driven.
Fly Fish is nuts. My wife didn’t go on it with us and you have to have some serious grip…it is basically a kite with three people sitting on it. You get two passes and only in one direction do you take off. It was an adventure but I think we probably would have had more fun on the ringos or something similar. Again, sensible driving and safety checks from the driver made me as a father grateful to the driver.
I have to mention the photos and videos. Banana Water sports take photos and videos from a drone…it’s €15 for the photos and I think €35 if you include the drone video. I think this is pretty good value and it was much more expensive for the same service when we were in Mexico last year. The photos really made the trip as we weren’t expecting to have any record of the rides. The photos were well framed, in focus and good quality. We got some great photos so we were very happy. The photo staff were lovely and Brad Pitt on reception could learn a thing or two about how to talk to people from the photo staff.
All in all a very professional and competent company that I could trust to look after my family. Not mega expensive from my experience in other countries and good quality equipment so I was very pleased. Thanks Banana Watersport.
