点评：Cambodia and Siem Reap, in particular, has seen a miraculous rebirth in so many ways, no more so than in art, where so many precious ancient Khmer designs, skills and techniques have been rescued from oblivion by dedicated locals and foreign expert artists, and now appears to be thriving. Robina, a longstanding ex-pat resident and art expert, has a great passion and knowledge of the art scene whether heritage painting, sculpture, wood carving, lacquer, textiles, garment making and high fashion. We were treated to a fabulous bespoke morning tour meeting and seeing some fascinating artists and their wonderful work. That there is such diversity and quality of work was a side of Cambodia we hadn’t expected and were very pleasantly surprised. The trip was great fun and very affordable, though beware we did find we spent a lot on lovely pictures, clothes and sculptures we hadn’t anticipated on doing. I thoroughly recommend this lovely way to spend a few hours away from the temples. This is miles away from the rather grubby side of Siem Reap that seems to have nothing whatsoever to do with Cambodian heritage.
