点评：I had a wonderful experience with The Western Mountains during my trip to Kashmir as a solo female traveler. From the very beginning, Rahul was extremely helpful in planning my itinerary, covering Srinagar, Sonmarg, and Pahalgam. Everything was thoughtfully organized, making the entire journey smooth and stress free.
A special mention to my driver and guide, Latif bhai, who truly made the trip memorable. He not only ensured my safety and comfort at all times but also enriched the experience by sharing fascinating historical stories and local insights, which made me feel especially at ease traveling on my own.
The accommodations arranged throughout the trip were equally impressive. In Srinagar, I stayed at Nadis, a lovely boutique hotel with amazing food and courteous, welcoming staff. In Gagangir, Farah’s homestay was a beautiful riverside property, peaceful and full of charm, with dogs, cats, ducks, cows, and chickens adding to its warmth. The food there was top notch, and the hospitality was exceptional. In Pahalgam, I stayed at Hermitage by Grand Resorts, another beautiful property with great food and very welcoming staff.
I also had the opportunity to enjoy local meals at Rahul’s partner Altaf’s home. A special mention to Altaf and his wife, whose warmth and hospitality made the experience truly special. Their family was incredibly welcoming, and it added a very personal and authentic touch to the overall trip.
What stood out the most was Rahul’s daily check ins. He would brief me each evening about the next day’s plans, which made everything feel well coordinated and seamless.
Overall, it was a very well executed trip, and I would highly recommend The Western Mountains to anyone looking to explore Kashmir with ease and confidence, especially for solo travelers.
