点评:This was a great experience! If I could give this group a 10, I would!
I booked my trip before I came to Alaska for work since I knew I’d have the weekend to do things. Since it’s warmed up this spring, they texted me yesterday to let me know that the ride would be in their second location, which was a little higher up and where they still have snow. It was not a big deal to drive a little further from my hotel in Wasilla, and it was pretty once we got into the snowy part up the mountain.
After we were all ready, they gave us some information about the dogs, about sledding, and about the Iditarod race that was just recently in March. Then we were assigned a dog sled for the ride, and you could either stand in the back behind the musher on the sled or sit in the front. I did both since we switched out while we were on the ride. It was so fun, and very pretty when we were out on the flats and there was just nothing but snow and trees.
My musher was Ryan and he did a great job! He was friendly, gave us information about the dogs, and answered any of the questions we had about sledding.
This is a trip that should not be missed if you’re up in the area!
