Wonderful way to cross lake and friendly, obliging crew!

点评：Wonderful way to cross the lake if you are going to visit Hilltop Farm or wish to walk on the other side of the lake. Regular crossings and rapid. The small wooden ferry is very picturesque and comfortable but my rave review is a shout out to the absolutely amazing and friendly crew. After visiting Hilltop Farm we took a wrong turn on our way back and arrived just too late but in time to see the boat leaving the jetty. I have travelled on many public ferries of all shapes and sizes but as I said to my friend, they will not come back for us once they have unmoored; we will just have to wait for the next one (30--40 minutes? Can't quite remember.) So imagine my astonishment when the captain turned the boat back towards the jetty and his colleague held the mooring ropes while we embarked. It was a question of a few minutes but still, we were so surprised and very thankful. A much appreciated gesture gentlemen!
