点评:This was an interesting visit, and we saw things we have not seen before. HOWEVER, beware of pricing, as others have said. We were charged 3000 LKR per head, or 1800 LKR for a group of four!! 😂. However, others in our group were charged 7500 LKR each!
They would not let us in to the entrance hall/ticket hall until it was empty, which was a bit odd, but that was presumably so we would not hear what others were being charged. The website and tickets have no mention of price, and my credit card was charged in my home currency rather than LKR without my consent or knowledge, which increased the cost by about 10%. I emailed before our visit to ask about price but this was not answered so we went anyway.
The place is quite run down, but I think they are trying to do a reasonable job on limited resources. I agree with other reviews that the quality of life for the turtles which are there (sometimes for many years) looks a bit grim though as they are in small concrete tanks with nothing to interest them. Our guide was knowledgable and spoke good English and our visit took about 30-40 minutes.
Soooo overall ok if you have nothing else to do but negotiate on price or walk away.
