Gorillas and Beyond Safari的点评
点评：I recently returned from a 10 night Uganda safari with Gorillas and Beyond and had to share what an amazing experience it was. I travelled with my best friend for what was our long overdue bucket list trip.
We were greeted at the airport by our guide Wyclef, who was so welcoming and made us feel at ease. Our trip included stays at Entebbe, Kibale NP, Queen Elizabeth NP, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Lake Mburu NP with great lodgings at all locations. Wyclef showed us many sights, and had great stops along the way and was full of local knowledge- and he truly made our trip unforgettable with his humour and tips for our itinerary in pre planning as well as some last minute recommendations. We booked our trip from Australia, so I had relied on other reviews on trip advisor in finding a suitable operator.....Wyclef was great in suggesting our itinerary and fitting it well in our budget.
My highlights from the trip had to be the trekking with Mountain Gorillas, and the chimps as well as seeing the other amazing sights and wildlife I did not expect to see in Uganda. Seeing the mountain gorillas just metres away was a memory I will cherish forever.
Highly recommend booking a tour with Gorillas and Beyond, and exploring all of Uganda!
Final tip....PLEASE book a porter when doing the Gorilla trekking. Physically you may not need it, but it provides great employment to the locals and you can make lifelong friends from the hiking experience with them. (In the event where you have to trek down the side of a mountain like we did, they are worth the $20 to help navigate the terrain or just carry your camera bag!)
