Nice place but filthy accommodation

点评：We stayed in a comfort 6 lodge with a hot tub that was in the Fairways area of the park (No 62).
We booked a pet friendly lodge however decided last minute not to bring our dog. Upon entering the lodge it looked very nice, the owners have kitted it out very nicely with very homely interiors with nice lamps and pictures. However the accommodation was filthy dirty. I went around the place with antibacterial wipes wiping grime and dirt from doors, light switches and kick boards in the kitchen areas. There were crumbs on the coffee table, spiders in all corners of the rooms, dust everywhere and the fridge was dirty. This is not an acceptable level of hygiene when you are paying £1800 for a week.
I called reception to complain and a member of staff came with some spray and a cloth and wiped over the coffee table and splash back and then left. They did not care.
It’s a shame as the place itself is very nice with lovely grounds and very nice views.
The swimming pool is clean and so was our hot tub. Would I recommend? No I would not - purely for the fact of how dirty our place was and there seems to be many reviews the same.
