A great activity but a couple of issues

点评：The ebikes we hired were very good but we were told not to let them out of our sight as they're not routinely provided with locks. This is impossible given the nature of the wine tasting packages provided where you're taken indoors. It really is the most beautiful area to cycle around and the first 2 tastings were great. Fromt the off there was an issue with Googlemaps continually trying to re-route or change direction, and after the second tasting we were left to our own devices not knowing where the official tourism cycling routes were. We ended up at the same junction 4 times, didn't make lunch and had no alternative but to cycle along a very busy route that a local had advised us not to go on, in order to make it back to Vilafranca on time. A hard copy of a map, and some options of additional vineyards on that and the digital map would've made the day perfect. My advice to make the most of the day: don't buy the tasting packages, do your own research on the Penedes Tourism page, and set one of their routes you can see ahead of time to familiarise yourself with the area and just book direct with the vineyards. It is a great activity and an enjoyable day out, so it's a shame there were a couple of setbacks which limited our enjoy to it being 5*
