点评：We had one day in Galle and were very happy that the overwhelming positive feedback on TripAdvisor guided us to this family run business with brothers Shamil and Riswan.
We felt warmly welcomed and very much at ease to peruse their extensive and beautiful selection of gems and settings. We had loved pictures of their elegant and tasteful pieces they had produced for previous customers and found plenty of the same to browse.
Riswan swiftly and expertly guided as through gem and setting possibilities as we expressed our wishes and preferences, pivoting readily when we our direction of thought changed.
They helped us recreate a version of a ring bought 20 years ago on a trip to Laos that we had sadly lost, now with Sri Lankan sourced and themed stones, recapturing and reimagining treasured memories of then and now. They crafted and delivered this in less than 20 hours!
In addition, we found gorgeous gifts for loved ones who ordinarily can be difficult to buy for. Given relatively few cues about their tastes, birth months, and complexions, Riswan and Shamil helped us find perfect pieces for them all. They even converted ear rings into necklaces within the same 20 hours without issue, no problem.
Riswan and Shamil in our experience are of high integrity, never placed us under any pressure, offered us fair and very satisfactory prices, and were very hospitable, especially to our young sons, gifting them small but meaningful tokens of hospitality.
Should we return to Sri Lanka we surely will return to Fort Art Jewelry in Galle Fort to see Shamil and Riswan, and recommend you do the same.
