Genial and comfortable to experience Cape Town and beyond.

点评：TripAdvisor has rejected my review and asked for a revision because it thinks that this is AI generated but I can assure it is not. I have started many drafts of this review and none captured what I was wanting to say. Here is my final effort. I hope it is helpful to anyone who is planning to visit Cape Town and the Eastern Cape.
We wholeheartedly recommend Cape Ability Tours to visitors to Cape Town. Our experience of 4 X 1 day tours really made our short visit a wonderfully memorable experience (April 2026).
Initial contact was via capeabilitytours.co.za and Richard Denny responded with information and a WhatsApp link. Discussing the tour offerings gave us a much clearer idea of what was involved. As 77 and 84 year olds, we were concerned that we wouldn’t be run off our feet. Richard Denny reassured us that he was infinitely flexible and we did pace each day to our capabilities.
We took the City Tour, the Peninsular Tour, the Cape Winelands Tour and a custom-made day tour when Richard Denny helped me discover locations associated with my father’s childhood and included a visit to a cemetery.
Richard Denny easily shares his great knowledge of Cape Town and its environs including the history, geology, flora and fauna. He is articulate, engaging and reliable. Each of his tours offered unique interesting experiences and were quite varied. They took us way beyond what we would have been able to do ourselves. We were pampered in his very comfortable 10 seater bus.
We also asked Richard to purchase tickets for a concert given by the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and one of us wanted to purchase a jacket. Richard came up tops on both.
Richard and his partner, Jen, picked us up, joined us at the concert and drove us back to our hotel. This made for a delightful hassle free evening. With many people greeting Richard in the foyer before the concert, I realised that Richard is well connected and well liked. This is very understandable because we found him intelligent, informed, comprehensive and personable. We greatly enjoyed his company.
If you are looking to enjoying a problem free visit to Cape Town and its environs we suggest you look no farther than Richard Denny and his company Cape Ability Tours You will not be disappointed.
P.S. He also can organise tours in wider South Africa before or after your visit to Cape Town. When we visited Sabi Sand Reserve in north-eastern South Africa, we by chance discovered he was well respected there.
