点评:This temple is very famous religious place to worship Goddess Kaali, goddess of destruction. People come here to visit not only in & around Baglung district, but in whole Nepal and northern parts of neighbouring India.
Thoroughly amazed by the peaceful and natural surrounding of the Temple, as this temple is situated inside a protected forest, around 500 meter away from the Baglung highway, and the view of the forest is amazing. You need to walk to reach the temple, the vehicle are not allowed.
According to local folk tales, the then King of Parbat District, Pratap Narayan Singh Malla, received Idol of Goddess Kalika as part of the Gift in his marriage with King Manimukunda Sen's daughter. Whilst returning to his kingdom after the ceremony, the bride, groom and others took shelter in the forest at night. Next day, not a single person was able to move the Idol, so, the king constructed a temple on that place.
At the other end of the jungle, there is a viewpoint to see the panoramic view of Kali Gandaki river & the surrounding hills, a pristine place. It is the best managed religious place and the most organised temple in the entire country.
A must visit, if you're in Baglung, neighbouring Beni or Kushma district, or even at Pokhara (70 kms from Pokhara city).
