Khao Sok Elephant Sanctuary的点评

Very nice visit! I recommend.
We (one adult, one child) had such a fun time with the elephants.
So glad this center rescued them from the horrors of logging... It is nice they partner with the Southern Elephant hospital of Thailand. Overall, truly a eco tourism experience-- they really try to educate and stop the harm of elephants.
We spent about 2 hours there: you start watching a short 10 minute video.
Then, you make the elephant a vitamin ball (food), plus feed them baskets full of sugarcane and bananas for about 15 minutes.
After this, you give them a mud bath for about 15 minutes, before washing them off in the river (another 15-20 minutes).
Finally, you spray them down at the "elephant car wash" for about 10-15 minutes.
Then walk back to the center to shower yourself, before having a lovely complimentary snacks and drinks.
Great for families (though we were the only family with children. Everyone else was middle to older aged couples).
About 20 minute drive from the main little downtown Koh Sok.
We did this through the Smiley's 3 day, 2 night lake tour.
