La Maison des Ailleurs的点评
点评：Arriving at the Rimbaud Museum on a Thursday, we were told it wasn’t possible to buy a combination ticket for the three museums in Charleville-Mézières (the Musée Arthur Rimbaud, the Maison des Ailleurs and the Musée de l’Ardenne) because a new exhibition, due to open on Saturday at 2 p.m., was being set up at the Maison des Ailleurs. So we either had to pay twice or wait until Saturday, which we thought was rather strange. We decided to wait and went to visit the nearby town of Sedan instead. With hindsight, waiting for the visit of the Maison des Ailleurs wasn’t really worth it. Although Rimbaud lived on the first floor of the house with his mother and sibling from 1869 to 1875, between the ages of 15 and 21, there was nothing concrete to remind of his life in that period. Too many people have lived in the house since then. For us, the place was totally lacking in atmosphere. It isn’t even certain Rimbaud wrote any of his poems there.
