点评:I love this place .Went yesterday Sunday 22nd March 2026,for the 11am tour,and booked lunch after in Chalk,and we took our two dogs ,Wilma,my German Pointer and Saffy a Weimarana,and from the moment we drove into this beautiful family estate,to the time we left,fours hours later,we smiled all the time.
Started with the Wine Tour.I declared before the start and discretely,that I ran my dad's award winning wine merchant business and chain of London wine shops for 25 years and before worked in Champagne for the world's no1 marque,and have lots of producer friends in the region,but I would be quiet.
Our guide was outstanding.
The plan starting with the story of English sparkling winemaking,the classic tradional way of making great sparkling wine ,the Wiston vision and reality of fulfilling a classic,no compromise ,outstanding approach which duri g the tour and finally the excellent tastingconfirmed.

Part 11 of this story is our lunch in their restaurant Chalk..all the buildings are beautiful modern architecture
We had Steak Tarter for entree..noting like wht yu get in France,but more a cocktail of herbs and flavours,with some toasted doughbread (my only small complaint,it the bread was a little too burnt,but was repaced immediately)
Next we both had the roast lamb,but this was no Sunday joint,with roast pitatoes and if yyr lucky steam fresh vegetables,but an amazing marinated experience of lamb,seasoned,and harmised and very slow cooked so in melted in the mouth..I gave the chef a thank you before I left

我们点了鞑靼牛排作为前菜……这和你在法国吃到的完全不同,更像是各种香草和香料的混合,配上一些烤面包(我唯一的小抱怨是面包有点烤焦了,不过服务员立刻就换了)。
接下来我们都点了烤羊肉,但这可不是那种配烤土豆和(如果幸运的话)新鲜蒸蔬菜的普通周日烤羊肉,而是一道令人惊艳的腌制羊肉,经过调味和熏制,慢火烹制,入口即化……离开前我向厨师道了谢。
每次去看望女朋友,这里都是我的首选餐厅,也是我最爱的葡萄酒产地。
