A trip I will never forget : Absolutely amazing

点评：Earlier this year I had the opportunity to join some friends to hike Mount Kilimanjaro. We climbed the Lemosho route in 8 days with the support of the amazing team from Peak Planet. From the very start it was clear that this was a professional outfit. Clear, concise and fast communications and a real desire to ensure that we had all the information we needed to have a great experience. Also, a key requirement for us was that they are KPAP certified.
The transfer driver, John, met us at the airport holding a Peak Planet sign. He assisted us with sorting out a luggage problem and then took us to Stella Maris Hotel.
The hotel is a social enterprise that Peak Planet supports. The profit from the hotel support the primary school that the foundation runs. The staff at the hotel are like long-lost relatives that you have never met, but you immediately have a connection.
The hike was enjoyable, but what really makes it special is the team. Msuri the head guide gives an allure of confidence, not needing to say a million words to help you know you are doing well and in good hands. Chef Samwel, kept us well fed, and made some amazing meals, even though we had some dietary restrictions. Charles, Victor, John, Peter, Ernest and James all stood out, clearly for them this is not just a job, but something they enjoy. A shout out to Richard who got the missing bag up to us on our second day.
The summit is quite a challenge and I really doubt I could have made it without the amazing team helping me to do it right from the very first day.
After the trek I went on a 3 day safari. Dickson has eyes like an eagle and his was enjoyable to spend time with during the safari.
