Great centre with unwelcoming staff

点评：It grieves me to say so, but I agree with Karla. The centre is great. It is spacious and well laid out. The play zones are good and suitably structured to babies, toddlers and older kids. But the staff, or some of them, leave much to be desired. Our first "red flag" came when my son wanted an ice cream. An older lady very swiftly descended upon us upbraiding us for the felony of leaving the fridge door open for more than a second (NB: it was 22 outside, not 45 degrees). Then because my son committed the sin of putting an ice cream close to (NOT into) his mouth - mandatory purchase of this WRAPPED product demanded. Then our friend had the cheek to ask for a mocha coffee ten minutes prior to closing time, only to be rudely denied that (it doesn't take ten minutes to drink a coffee). And the negative vibes continued as closing time neared. The centre has a full sound system (and the music was pretty good, BTW). But no gentle "We're getting ready to close. We all have to leave. Thanks for joining us for a fun time at CROCS." No, no. Departure was bluntly "assisted" by said unfriendly older lady stalking around telling people (including kids directly) that it was time to go.
It's sad, but I would not encourage families to take their kids to this centre. It's a shame because the facilities are great. The food is also ridiculously overpriced, but that is ubiquitous in this sector. No, it's that the staff (especially the person concerned) signally failed to enhance the friendly, fun, welcoming vibe a venue like this needs as its lifeblood. Avoid.
