One of the Best Experiences in New Orleans — Owen Was Fantastic!

点评：Our visit to the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum was easily one of the highlights of our time in New Orleans. I would highly recommend doing the guided tour, especially if you get the opportunity to have Owen as your tour guide. He was absolutely fantastic and made the entire experience so much more memorable.
Owen was incredibly knowledgeable and did an amazing job explaining the history of the museum, medicine, pharmacy, and healthcare in New Orleans in a way that was both informative and genuinely entertaining. We learned so much throughout the tour, but it never felt like we were sitting through a history lecture. He had a great sense of humor, kept everyone engaged, and knew exactly how to mix interesting historical facts with funny stories and details that made everything easy to remember. You could tell that he really knew the material and enjoyed sharing it with people.
The museum itself is fascinating and packed with artifacts, old medications, medical equipment, and exhibits that give you a completely different perspective on how medicine and pharmacy have evolved over time. There is so much to look at that I could have easily spent even more time exploring after the tour. As someone interested in medicine, I found it especially fascinating, but you definitely do not need a medical background to enjoy it. Owen made everything accessible and interesting regardless of how much you already know about the subject.
What really stood out was how much the tour added to the experience. There are plenty of museums where you can walk around and read signs on your own, but this is one where having a great guide makes a huge difference. Owen brought the history to life and pointed out stories and details that we probably would have completely missed otherwise. He was also personable, funny, and happy to answer questions along the way.
We did a lot while in New Orleans, and this was genuinely one of our favorite experiences in the city. If you’re visiting the French Quarter and looking for something unique, educational, entertaining, and a little different from the typical New Orleans attractions, I cannot recommend the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum enough. And if Owen is giving the tour, even better. Absolutely worth visiting and an easy five stars!
