点评：An absolutely unforgettable experience in the heart of Kakheti! Winery N1 in Kvareli is not just a winery — it’s a full immersion into Georgian culture, hospitality, and centuries-old winemaking traditions.
Our tour was led by the owner himself, who walked us through the winemaking process and showed us all the tools used to make the wine and clean the qvevris, as well as the chacha still. His wife then led us in making our own churchkhela — rolling walnut strings through warm grape must — which felt like being part of a living tradition rather than a tourist attraction.
Then came the homemade lunch: hearty, made with obvious love, and paired beautifully with their white, red, and chacha. The wines were excellent — fresh and aromatic, full-bodied and characterful — and the chacha had that perfect fiery warmth. The meal ended with a lovely, unhurried conversation with the owner — the kind that leaves you feeling like you’ve made a real connection.
If you’re visiting Kvareli, do not skip Winery N1. Truly 5 stars.
