Too much rubbish.
Weligama Beach的点评
点评：I was staying at a near by villa resort with my wife but decided to take a walk down to Weligama beach for a few hours. The beach is set in a big sweeping bay that is very popular with surfers and there are many surf schools in operation for the novice to learn how to surf.
Each has their own supply of boards and loungers to relax on afterwards and the sand is pretty decent. With the beach being relatively flat many families were enjoying the warm water.
Up one end the fisherman moor their boats or haul them up the beach. From there it's a hop up onto the main road where they sell their wares from covered shacks. All of this sounds very nice but there is one big drawback. The rubbish, it's everywhere. Now I wouldn't necessarily blame the locals as it's more than that but there are no bins anywhere for rubbish and litter to go. From the beach it's not quite as noticeable, different story on the main road.
Now this may not worry everybody but for me it just spoils what should be a great location to enjoy the sun, sea and surf.
