点评:We had a private trekking trip for just two of us. Two days trekking from Marpha to Jomsom to Kagbeni to Muktinath, it was incredible!
Although it was rain season, we did get considerable amount of sunny times throughout the journey. The ride from Pokhara to Marpha itself was exhilarating. The deep gorges and cliffs along the Kali Gandaki riverbank was both a sight and a scare. The ride itself is 6hours one way so it took the whole morning and early afternoon, leaving the late afternoon to explore the destination village Marpha.
From Marpha we began the hike following the riverbank. Overall it was a relatively easy trek, still tiring as we chose to carry our own packs given it was a short trip. The trek itself may not be comparable to base camp treks but still very scenic and cultural. Stopping by the small villages, each had their distinct features and sights to see. Many lovely and friendly stray dogs along the way to accompany us too. However, the mountains ranges nearby were often masked by the thick clouds, only leaving us the view of the valley that’s get more arid as we go upstream towards Muktinath.
Sundar, our guide, has been incredibly accommodating and helpful, that even though it was only a 4 days trip to Lower Mustang, it felt we had been acquainted for much longer. We enjoyed having him and would definitely recommend him.
